STEAM-ERA is back this Labour Day weekend at Hume’s Auction Farm in Halton Hills! Hosted by the Ontario Steam and Antique Preservers Association, this long-running event brings history to life with antique tractors, steam engines, antique cars, and more. Step back in time and enjoy daily parades, live demonstrations like sawmilling and threshing, tractor and truck pulls, a spark show at dusk, plus food, crafts, and fun for the whole family. Kids 12 and under get in free with an adult, making it a great outing for all ages.

Start your weekend with peace and balance at Milton Yoga in the Park, happening on Saturday, August 30 from 9 AM to 10 AM at Milton Sports Centre Park (Picnic Site E). Expect live music, a lively Kid Zone, face painting, midway rides, plus plenty of tasty eats and great vibes for the whole family. Movies in the Park Fundraiser at Royal Botanical Gardens
Bring your family for a magical summer evening at Hendrie Park on Saturday, August 30 for Movie Night in the Park, a fundraiser for RBG’s Green Angels Program. Arrive at 6:30 PM for lawn games and free popcorn, then enjoy the Turtle Discovery Show at 7:15 PM, followed by the movie The Wild Robot (PG) around 8–8:15 PM. Bring blankets, pillows, or lawn chairs (rentals available). Food trucks provide snacks and drinks. Rain or shine, the show goes on, and every ticket helps support families experiencing RBG programs.
