Get ready for an unforgettable celebration of Latin culture at the Burlington Latin Festival! Returning stronger than ever this year with two full days of free admission fun at Central Park the festival invites you to dive into a vibrant tapestry of music, dance, art, and cuisine. At the heart of it all lies the electrifying Main Zone, featuring over 25 live performances, colorful dancing, and an atmosphere pulsing with Latin rhythms. Food lovers will delight in the Food Zone, where 20+ culinary artisans offer authentic flavors from across Latin America. The Artist Zone showcases the creativity and cultural roots of Latino artists, weaving storytelling through every brushstroke and sound. And for families, the Kids/Family Zone brings magic to life with enchanting performances, interactive experiences, and educational fun led by 30+ talented artists in Kids Plaza.

Georgetown Special Waste Drop Off Day

Halton Region is hosting a Special Waste Drop-off Day in Georgetown on Saturday, August 23rd from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM at 11620 Trafalgar Road. This free community event gives Halton residents a safe and convenient way to dispose of household hazardous waste and unwanted electronics, keeping harmful materials out of landfills.

Accepted items include paint, batteries, propane tanks, solvents, fertilizers, pesticides, motor oil, fluorescent bulbs, televisions, computers, printers, and cell phones. Commercial or industrial waste will not be accepted. Items such as large appliances, tires, biomedical waste, and construction debris are also not permitted. By participating, residents support Halton Region’s ongoing commitment to sustainability, waste diversion, and protecting our land, air, and water.

Milton Halal Food Fest at Milton Fairgrounds

Milton will host the 4th Annual HANDI Milton Halal Food Festival on Saturday and Sunday, August 23 and 24, 2025, at the Milton Fairgrounds. Running from noon to 10 PM each day with free admission, this two-day festival is a vibrant celebration of culture, community, and cuisine. Visitors can explore an incredible variety of halal food vendors offering everything from traditional dishes to modern street food, while enjoying live entertainment and cultural performances throughout the weekend. The festival also features a bustling marketplace with local businesses, artisans, and family-friendly activities that bring people of all ages together. Highlights of this year’s event include electrifying performances by renowned artists Abrar-ul-Haq and Meesha Shafi, plus a special VIP experience on Saturday with reserved seating for the highly anticipated concert by the Bhangra King. Go Green Halton Hills 2025

The 2025 Go Green Halton Hills event is set to take place on Saturday, August 23, from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Halton Hills Public Library (9 Church Street, Georgetown). This free, family-friendly event is designed to engage the community in environmental initiatives and promote sustainable living practices. Attendees will have the opportunity to test drive electric vehicles with Plug’n Drive, receive eco-landscaping tips from Credit Valley Conservation, and participate in activities such as Family Storytime and the interactive Repair Café. The event also features the Hey Neighbour activity zone, bird-friendly wood carvings, and a chance to vote for the Top Town Bird. Additionally, participants can borrow a Backyard Explorer Kit to continue their environmental exploration at home. The Go Green Halton Hills event is presented in partnership with the Halton Hills Public Library, the Downtown Georgetown Farmers Market, and Plug’n Drive, aiming to foster a resilient and environmentally healthy community.

TD Oakville Live Music Summer Series

Enjoy live music and the chance to listen to local musicians this weekend at the TD Oakville Outdoor Summer Series!
