From the Monster Month celebrations in Elora and Fergus, including haunted walks, artisan markets, and the spirited Monster March parade, to fall-themed experiences in Milton, Kelso, and Oakville, there’s something for everyone. Take in the View with a Chairlift Ride at Kelso Conservation Area

Conservation Halton invites visitors Saturday, October 18th to experience the breathtaking fall colours from a unique vantage point during the Chairlift Rides at Kelso Conservation Area in Milton. The chairlifts will be operating from 11:00 AM to 4:30 PM, providing an excellent opportunity to view the vibrant autumn foliage along the Niagara Escarpment.

Riders must be at least 2'5" tall to ride with an adult or 3'5" tall to ride alone. For safety reasons, pets and bicycles are not permitted on the chairlift.

This event is part of the Conservation Halton: Fall Into Nature series, which includes other seasonal activities such as pumpkin painting, wood cookie branding, and kids' fall crafts and colouring. These activities are scheduled throughout the day, with some requiring additional fees.

October in Elora is full of thrills and chills as the village transforms for Monster Month! From spooky decorationsto ghoulishly fun activities, the entire community embraces the Halloween spirit. Families can enjoy haunted trails, pumpkin carving, and costume contests, while local shops and cafes get in on the fun with themed treats and surprises. Whether you’re seeking frights, family-friendly adventures, or festive photo ops, Monster Month makes Elora the perfect destination for a spooktacular October.

Enjoy the Fall Festival & Artisan Market at the Fieldstone Barn

The Fall Festival & Artisan Market is a highlight of Elora’s Monster Month celebrations, taking place on Saturday, October 18, and Sunday, October 19, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM at The Fieldstone Barn (7450 Middlebrook Road, Elora, ON). Monster Month Elora

This family-friendly event offers a perfect blend of autumn charm and local craftsmanship. Visitors can enjoy Pumpkin Spiced Lattes, Hot Apple Cider, or Hot Chocolate while exploring the artisan market, which features a curated selection of handmade goods. Live music sets the mood, and activities like horse-drawn wagon rides, cornhole, and campfire marshmallow roasting add to the festive atmosphere. Children will delight in interacting with farm animals and navigating the corn mazes.

Experience a Fergus Ghost Walk

The Fergus Ghost Walks are a spine-chilling highlight of Monster Month in Elora and Fergus. These lantern-lit tours delve into the eerie history of one of Canada's most haunted villages, offering tales of spectral figures and dark secrets. Guided by actors and historians, participants will hear about the tragic end of the town clockmaster, the bagpiper’s lament, a renowned doctor with a sinister past, and the legend of the Ancient Ones, among other captivating stories from Fergus's early days

Tours begin promptly at 8:00 PM at The Bookery, located at 191 St. Andrew St W, Fergus, ON. Tickets are $20 per person and can be purchased online through The Bookery's website. If online tickets are sold out, there may be in-person tickets available.

Participate in Elora's Monster March

The Monster March is a beloved annual tradition in Elora, Ontario, kicking off the Halloween season with a spirited, family-friendly parade on Saturday, October 18, 2025, at 6:30 PM from MacDonald Square. Participants are encouraged to wear creative costumes—including pets!—and join the Wicked Wagon Contest, with prizes for the best decorated wagons or strollers. Along the route, volunteers from The Sparrow’s Nest will collect donations for the Centre Wellington Food Bank. After the parade, enjoy a festive “mini-mash” at Bissell Park with music, food, and fun. Free and open to all ages, it’s a perfect way to celebrate the spooky season in Elora.

Celebrate Acorn Fest: Downtown Oakville

Downtown Oakville will come alive for Acorn Fest: Halloween Edition at Towne Square (210 Lakeshore Rd E) on Saturday, October 18th from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM. This family-friendly celebration of the Halloween season features a costume contest for you and your pets, a lively Spooky Salsa session with City Dance Corps, a captivating magic show, and live music from the Supersonic Hearts Band. Attendees can also enjoy delicious food from local vendors, entertainment from stilt walkers and roaming musicians, and the iconic 8 ft × 6 ft acorn display, making it a festive day for all ages.
